After completing her neurosurgical training at Temple University in 1989, Dr. Carey moved to Salt Lake City to complete her Pediatric Neurosurgical Fellowship at Primary Children’s Hospital at the University of Utah. During this time she earned her MBA from the University of Utah. She then went on to work at the University Of Utah School Of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery until 2001 when she relocated to Florida to join Florida Pediatric Neurosurgery, Inc. Now she is the owner and President of the Center for Pediatric Neurosurgery & Neuroscience. Dr. Carey is also an affiliate faculty member with the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Carey is board certified in Neurological Surgery and Pediatric Neurological Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurosurgery. Dr. Carey is also the Associate Director of Trauma at All Children’s Hospital.
