  Gerald F. Tuite, MD, FAAP
   

Dr. Tuite began practicing pediatric neurosurgery in Florida in 1996 after completing his neurosurgical training. He returns to the University of South Florida as an Associate Professor after a two-year relocation to Charleston, South Carolina where he served as the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Tuite completed college at Washington University, medical school at Northwestern University and then received his general neurosurgical training at the University of Michigan. He completed a combined spinal and pediatric neurosurgical fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, England, followed by a more specialized fellowship at Baylor University where he focused on the surgical treatment of children with brain tumors, brachial plexus injuries, and craniofacial disorders.

Dr. Tuite is board certified in general and pediatric neurosurgery and he is a member of all the major neurosurgical associations, including the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery.

 

All of our physicians are affiliated with the University of South Florida. We take pride in our academic and up-to-date approach to the care of children with pediatric neurosurgical disorders.
