Dr. Tuite was the first neurosurgeon
certified by the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgeons to practice
on Florida’s west coast. A graduate of Northwestern University School of
Medicine, Dr. Tuite completed his general neurosurgical training at the
University of Michigan. He then completed a fellowship at Great Ormond
Street Hospital for Children in London, England, followed by a more
specialized pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Baylor University,
where he focused on the surgical treatment of children with brain
tumors, brachial plexus injuries and craniofacial disorders.
Dr. Tuite is board certified in both neurological surgery and pediatric
neurological surgery and is a member of all the major neurosurgical
associations, including the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery.
He is Director of Research for our program.
